Job Summary

The Detailer is responsible for cleaning and preparing vehicles for customer pickup after repairs are complete. This role plays an important part in the final customer experience by making sure each vehicle is clean, presentable, and ready for delivery while protecting the quality of the repair work completed by the team. The Detailer should take pride in quality, pay close attention to detail, and help ensure every vehicle leaves the shop looking its best.


Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and detail vehicles before customer delivery.

  • Wash, vacuum, wipe down, and prepare vehicles according to company      standards.

  • Inspect vehicles during the detailing process and report any      concerns, damage, or quality issues to the appropriate team member.

  • Handle vehicles carefully to protect completed repair, paint, and      body work.

  • Help ensure vehicles are clean, organized, and ready for customer      pickup.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe detail area.

  • Use cleaning products, tools, and equipment properly and safely.

  • Follow company procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards.

  • Support the shop team with additional duties as needed.


Required Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Legal authorization to work in the U.S.


Preferred Qualifications

· Previous auto body or paint experience preferred.

· Ability to speak Spanish a plus.

· Ability to clean, wash, vacuum, wipe down, and prepare vehicles to meet company standards.

· Ability to carefully handle vehicles and protect completed repair, paint, and body work.

· Ability to identify and report quality concerns, damage, or issues before customer delivery.

· Strong time management skills and ability to complete work efficiently.

· Ability to follow company procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards.

· Ability to use cleaning products, tools, and equipment properly and safely.

· Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to support the shop as needed.


Working Hours

· This role is full-time in the shop, Monday through Friday with start and stop times to be determined by manager.


Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and work with hands throughout the workday.

· Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull cleaning supplies, tools, and materials up to 50 pounds.

· Ability to wash, vacuum, wipe down, and detail vehicles for extended periods of time.

· Ability to work in a shop environment with noise, dust, fumes, cleaning products, and changing temperatures while following safety guidelines.

· Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including gloves, eye protection, and other safety gear as needed.


Compensation & Benefits

· This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with applicable federal and state laws.

· Eligible employees may elect to participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, and vision benefit plans, subject to plan terms and eligibility requirements.

· The Company offers a 401(k) retirement savings plan with an employer matching contribution, in accordance with plan provisions.
