A crumpled fender can hide bent inner structure, a shifted headlight mount, or a damaged parking sensor — things you won't spot from the driveway. What a Fender Repair Actually Involves

The right fix depends on what your fender is made of and how badly it's damaged.

Steel fenders on most trucks and older vehicles can often be straightened and refinished. A shallow crease with intact paint may even qualify for paintless dent repair, which keeps your factory finish and costs considerably less.

Plastic and composite fenders, common on newer sedans and crossovers, don't dent — they crack, gouge, or tear at the mounting tabs. Some plastic damage can be repaired and refinished; a cracked mounting point usually means replacement.

Aluminum fenders, found on many Fords, Teslas, and other late-model vehicles, behave differently than steel and require dedicated tools and training to repair correctly. Our technicians hold OEM certifications from more than 20 manufacturers, including Tesla, Rivian, Ford, and BMW, so aluminum panels get repaired to factory procedure — not improvised.

When a fender can't be saved, we replace it. For certified repairs we follow the manufacturer's parts and installation procedures, which matters more than most people realize: fenders on newer vehicles often house blind-spot radar, side markers, and wiring harnesses that have to be transferred and, in some cases, recalibrated.

Why the Paint Blend Matters

Here's something a quick internet quote won't tell you: a good fender repair usually involves painting more than just the fender. Utah sun fades paint unevenly, so a fresh panel painted in isolation can look slightly "off" next to your hood and door. We blend color into the adjacent panels so the repair disappears — no visible edge, no mismatch in bright daylight. Our refinish work uses waterborne paint systems and is backed by a written warranty.

Most fender repairs go through insurance, and we've built our process around that. If you'd rather pay out of pocket for a minor fender scrape, we'll give you an honest estimate for that too. Sometimes a small repair costs less than your deductible, and we'll tell you when that's the case.

2. Approval and scheduling. We handle the back-and-forth with your insurer, order parts before your drop-off date, and schedule the work so your car isn't sitting in our lot waiting.

3. Repair, refinish, and quality check. Structure first, then bodywork, then paint. Every vehicle gets a final inspection before we call you.
